Birth Plan and Prenatal Help
Some families do not want an "extra" person at their birth and are just looking for help setting up a birth plan and preparing themselves for their birth. Or perhaps you live in an area where you do not have access toa doula. This package is for you and includes:
A 2 - 3 hour meeting on Zoom to build your birth plan. We discuss all of your options during labor, birth and once your baby arrives. I will provide you with research and evidence so that you can choose the best options for you and your family.
A final 1 hour meeting on Zoom to finalize your birth plan, answer any questions you have and give you an intro on comfort measures to use during labor.
The postpartum time is often overlooked, especially for first time parents who are very focused on the birth itself. This session is a good opportunity to get all of your questions answered and get a real idea of what this stage will be like for you. Parents who have worked with me in the past have said that they were able to think about things that they hadn't even know to plan for or think about beforehand. Who is going to bring you food? Who can hold your baby while you take a nap or shower? Who is going to be doing laundry, dishes, the cooking, etc? What do you need to buy that you haven't bought yet? I leave each family with a couple of homework assignments and a list of food, recipes and resources they may need. I recommend this session for between 32 weeks and your baby’s due date. This session can be done in person or virtually.
